Sir Thomas Ward Hurst? was an adventuring hero in his youth and won much glory and renown.

He settled and built his castle?. From here a small town gathered on the outskirts and trade prospered, all was well until Lady Ward Hurst? became unwell. Sir Thomas? spend a fortune when on quests to find a cure but to no avail. He turned to darker means to prolong his wife's life and children from the town had started going missing.

A band of heroes passed through the town and one the party's squire went missing, so the heroes stormed the castle. One member of the party got careless with the torches and ended up burning a large portion of the castle?.
